Privato Vineyard & Winery

Privato Vineyard & Winery is a boutique, family-run estate just north of Kamloops in the Westsyde area, on the Kamloops Wine Trail. Founded by John and Debbie Woodward and their three sons, Privato takes its name from the Italian word for private and is known for elegant, small-lot Burgundian-style Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown in BC's Thompson Valley, alongside aromatic whites and Woodward Cider.

The portfolio centres on Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling, each shaped by the terroir of the Thompson Valley north of the Okanagan. The Thompson Valley is BC's emerging wine frontier, where a handful of pioneering producers are proving that quality grapes can thrive in this northern climate. The region's continental conditions, with warm summers and cold winters, produce wines with bright acidity and surprising depth.

The estate is located along 5505 Westsyde Road, with hours Daily 11am-5pm (Apr-Dec).
